I arrived in Nazareth and I was just exhausted from my day in Taghba, I could barely walk so I just looked for a hostel and called it a night.

The next morning I slept in and then went to explore the city of Nazareth, the childhood home of Jesus!
My first stop was the Basilica of the Annunciation, the main attraction of Nazareth, and the biggest church in the Middle East!

The Basilica of the Annunciation is the place where Angel Gabriel told Mary that she was pregnant with baby Jesus, the son of God. As I entered the main floor I went to the back and found the cave believed to be the Virgin Mary's house and where the angel appeared.

Then went up to the main church and it was just so beautiful!
The roof looked like a flower that was coming down into Mary's house.

The many mosaics!!!

Around one side of the Basilica there was a long wall full of beautiful mosaics of Mary and Jesus from around the world!! I looked at them in hopes of finding one from El Salvador but was almost sure I wasn't going to find one but I did! And it was actually really pretty!

Then I visited the Church of St. Joseph that only steps away from the Basilica. This church was built in the location of the carpentry shop of Joseph, the father of Jesus.

I kept walking around Nazareth and to be honest it wasn't all that amazing but maybe I was too tired to really enjoy it or maybe I was just missing Fray Oscar telling me all the stories behind all the places there was to see. But, in a way it was kind of surreal to be walking on the streets were baby Jesus played!

I followed a trail on the tourist map walking through the many alleys in Nazareth and ended up at the Saint Gabriel's Orthodox church of the Annunciation.

Mary's well.
Since there wasn't much to do in Nazareth I decided to be super sporty and walk up like a thousand steep steps to go see the view of Nazareth from above... It was quite nice!

After a full day in Nazareth I went back to the hostel and rested for the early bus to JORDAN!!!!!! woohoo!!!
