Well… Singapore was hell! It was sooo hot it was not that much fun!

I had no plans at all and no idea what to do so I was extremely happy when I met a french guy, Jean Louis, and we decided to explore the city together. Since I had not planned anything and didn’t want to see anything in particular I just let JL take me wherever he wanted.

We did Little India, which was probably my favorite part, and had delicious Indian meals! The streets had been decorated with giant lotus flower banners and peacocks… so colorful!

Super beautiful decorations

Super colorful and cute!

Loving the decorations in the Indian temples!

We also went around Chinatown, which by the way was the most boring Chinatown I have ever seen, and visited some temples.
Mosque in China Town!

Jean Louis had an awesome recommendation from his cousin to go to the top of a restaurant at a mall which had a free view of all of Singapore… it was so beautiful… and Free!

Then we walked I don’t know where and saw a bunch of old buildings and we ended up in the Marina Bay Sands. As we were walking we saw a huge black cloud come closer and closer and when we were in front of the famous Merlion the crazy rain started… it POURED for about 40 mins straight and then all of a sudden it stopped, the sky was clear and it turned purple and blue and for hours there were thunder and lightning… It was such a sight!

The storm is coming!

During the day.

At night.

The famous Merlion!
Ahhhh... It's raining... quick, fake smile and RUN!

We ended the night by going to the water show at Marina bay. We were excited because we got prime seats in the platform below the Louis Vuitton store but it was literally the worst water show in the history of water shows! JL and I just kept looking at each other with WTF?!? faces! So not recommended!!!

Before we headed back to the hostel we checked out the gardens by the bay!

While in Singapore I also met with my friend Shruti (we went through Montessori teaching together) and celebrated thanksgiving with people from all over the world.

We also went to gardens by the bay and spent a lot of time napping in one of the couches at the mall since it was raining for hours! haha

We heart SF!

My last meal in Singapore was with Shruti and her husband and we had some amazing Indian chaat… I think I might be part indian!
