Kuala Lumpur (KL) seemed big and messy! I did not even know where to start the sightseeing so I kind of gave up on the city from the beginning.

When I arrived in KL I saw that my friend Ida (I met her in China) was there too and immediately made plans to get together and explore the town.

We walked around Chinatown and then we walked to the great mosque only to realize that it was close for praying until 3pm so we decided that since we were melting we would go check out the mall with a roller coster inside it!
How crazy is that? there is a small theme park inside the mall… I couldn’t believe it!

That's the roller coaster!

We quickly visted the Petronas towers!!! It started raining so we had to be super quick!

On my second night I met up with Ida and Kelly and went out for Indian chaat and then met up with a girl from the facebook group Girls Love Travel. When Kelly arrived in the restaurant we realized we were wearing the exact same black t-shirt dress… pretty funny!

We ended up going out to some bars and started to realize that in KL if you are a girl you pretty much never have to pay for drinks! The guys standing outside bars tell you that there are free drinks for girls and to come in (in hopes to attract more male costumers I would guess) but in all fairness the drinks are disgusting, they are all watered down and taste like nothing.
Cheers

This street stand had rats coming out from under the cabinets!!!!! aahh!

KL became my home base for all my trips; I figured out that the cheapest airfares are through KL so I found a great hostel that would keep my bags while I’m away.

My second time there I visited the famous Batu Caves!!!!

Too bad it's being maintained!

In my hostel I met a Brazilian girl, Larissa, and we decided to go the Heli Bar for sunset and then the next day to the Sky Bar at the Trader’s hotel. Both views were awesome and the Sky Bar has free drinks for the ladies on Wednesdays so no need to spend 30 ringgit for a drink.
