After a fun week in Berlin Claudia and I headed to Dresden for two days!

Our flix bus ride from Berlin was smooth and arrived safely in Dresden, had lunch at the station, got the bus to our AirBnB, got off on the wrong bus stop, had to walk an extra 7-10min but we finally arrived and met our hosts from Argentina!
Traveling is exhausting! Even more so when you have to wake up at 8am! (haha) so of course we needed a  little beauty sleep and then we went out and explored beautiful Dresden!

Dresden wasn't that big but it was so beautiful! The small old town was re constructed after WWII and probably looks as charming as it did in its golden days.

On our first day Claudia and I walked around the old town, passing through a modern street with all kinds of shops and ended up at the Semperoper, the opera house. There were many people gathered there and we realized that it was a special day and they had a big screen showing the live symphony so we decided to sit down and join the crowd (and of course Claudia got us some wine!)

The next day we spent it walking the old town and visiting the beautiful Zwinger, their beautiful palace! It was hard to stop taking picture, it was really really beautiful

From the Zwinger we went and explored more of the old town, walked its cobble stone streets and enjoyed looking at all the buildings.

From the old town we decided to go to the new town and probably that was my favorite part of the day. We got to chill and eat for hours. The new town had a hipster/ SF vibe that made it feel a little bit like home. I think the combination of Claudia, wine, food, a chill ambiance, and good conversation made me miss home a little but was so grateful she made the effort to come all the way to Europe, leave her baby, and spend some time with me.

Guess what Claudia got?! hahaha

Our journey in Germany ended with a night stroll by the river.

So sad my time with Claudia ended but so happy I got to have a little piece of home for a little bit. I will cherish all the talks, and all the memories, especially that one day when I was ready to leave at 11am but she started drinking shots with breakfast and ended up leaving at 11pm... it only took 12 hours to get her out! haha (In all fairness it was probably the rainiest day Berlin has seen in the last couple of years!) I <3 u amiga!
