Well, I think both my mom and I agree that Delphi was a total snooze!!! haha OR we are both not into rocks that hundreds of years ago used to be something!

We got to Delphi and immediately grabbed something to eat and decided to see the archaelogical site.
Town of Delphi

Beautiful walk from the town to the site

First we visited the museum which was not a snooze, I actually really really liked the museum! Especially reading the stories that went along with the carvings and brought back memories of middle school when I learned about Greek mythology.

After an hour or so at the museum we walked to the entrance of the actual archeological site which happens to be all uphill!
The view was actually pretty nice but there was absolutely nothing left other than a roman amphitheater (and by now I’ve seen like a thousand… so not impressive) and a couple of half broken columns!

This is not Delphi... It's like ½ mile away from it.

...Amphitheater!

People kept walking up up up the hill so I told my mom I would go ahead and walk up and after about 15-20 minutes I arrived at the “stadium”… So not impressed by it! haha I think everybody was very disappointed by it, we couldn’t believe we walked and sweated to see only stairs! haha I know, I am probably being too picky and judgmental of the things i’m seeing.

On my way down I found my mom and I said “This place looks more like a botanical garden” and she responded “… of wild flowers” I laughed because it was exactly what I was going to say.

A well deserved stop for coffee and ice cream

Our visit to Delphi wasn’t very exciting but the drive back to Athens was great!

My favorite was the little mountain town on our way out.

A gondola!

Traditional store

Sadly my time with mom came to an end and as she flew back to El Salvador I got on an overnight bus to Gjirokaster, Albania!
