The Great Wall of China!

My roommate told me about his tour to the Great Wall and how bad it was; he paid $50 for a "tour" that had an angry Chinese lady guide that only took them to a touristy part of the wall and said they had to be back in an hour and a half otherwise they would be left behind.

Of course I started googleing (illegally) what to do in Beijing and found one tour Great Wall Tour that is actually hiking the wall for 3 hours so decided to go with them.

As usual woke up early, stopped to get my morning dumplings and off I went to the subway to get to the tour meeting point.

The drive took a little over 3 hours, all of which I slept, of course!

When we arrived I was a little disappointed to see the parking lot full of tour busses and people. I thought they were bringing us to the less touristy part!

I started the hike with 2 people from Google in CA and a German guy but I quickly lost them since I take a lot of pictures! haha

As I walked I noticed that the amount of people started decreasing and realized that most people do only a very short walk and then leave so for a big part of the hike the wall was pretty empty.

I ended up joining 3 more people from the bus Mariosh and Magda from Poland, and Scott from the U.S! They also took pictures (and boomerang videos) so we walked at the same pace!

The walk was a little tough but very entertaining!

The view was amazing!!! and I admit I took way too many pictures! haha

Here at the end of the hike! This lady had followed us for ages! Scott finally got a t-shirt from her!

We literally used every single minute for the hike, in fact we borrowed 3 extra minutes and power walked on the way down to the bus!

I loved every second of it and would highly recommend it!!!
