After an extended stay in Pasto I was finally heading to Popayán. That morning I said goodbye to the family and received the biggest and sweetest hug in a while from one of the children who even gave me his address to go and visit him... how sweet?!?! My Heart was smiling!
I then headed back to the station and this time stayed in the bus. I think I slept most of the time, didn’t pay too much attention to the scenery and after 6 hours I finally got there!

Popayán is known as the white city from its whitewashed colonial houses and churches.
The touristic center is fairly small so within a couple of hours one can really get a feeling for this cute little town.

"Vote for the rats!"

I went up to “Morro del Tulcan” to get a nice view of the city.

I ended the day by having traditional Colombian food, some “empanadas de pipián” and tostones con queso.

Now off to Cali!
