While in Amsterdam one day I decided to take the train and visit the small town of Utrecht.

Located only 46 minutes by train from Amsterdam I decided to take the short trip and see what this city had to offer: the first thing was a very confusing train station where I had to walk through a shopping mall to get out to the street!

From there I walked with no direction and tried to follow where most people were going in hopes to get to town.

Utrecht was a very compact city and felt like a tiny Amsterdam with only one canal going through town.

Definitely the main piece for Utrecht was its Domtoren, a 112m Dom tower that could be seen pretty much from every corner of the city!

The cathedral and the tower:

As it was a small town I decided to walk a little bit on the side streets and looked at architecture and all the beautiful buildings, churches, and of course being careful of the people in bikes passing by!

I thought it was overall a cute little town to walk around and take a break from the craziness of Amsterdam!

Bikes, bikes, bikes EVERYWHERE!
