Sunset(s) in Bagan

Just like I did 3 sunrises I did 3 sunsets!
The first day Kam and I decided to go on the free sunset from my hostel, Ostello Bello.

It was at least 15 e-bikes following one guide, at one point a cow crossed the road and we (me and some others) had to wait while the guide and 12 bikes kept on going. Kam turned right thinking that that's where people went but I saw them go straight and had to wait for her to turn around and come back to the main road. By then my e-bike was acting up the battery indicator kept going up and down and the bike wouldn't go fast. Needless to say we lost the group and were on our own. Being lost didn't mean we gave up, I quickly looked at my map and we drove to a spot. Unfortunately, because of earthquakes that one temple was closed and we couldn't go up so we walked around really fast, and got back on our e-bikes and went to look for another temple to climb and enjoy the sunset.

Isn't this beautiful?

After sunset we went back down and found candles on the stairs; we quickly figured out that they were set there by a couple of guys who wanted a donation for the use of their candles! haha

2nd sunset
Remy, a new friend from the hostel, said that he knew the best spot for sunset from a friend so we decided to give it a go. The temple was about a 25 minute e-bike ride and seemed to be a little hidden. We got to the temple complex and he went to the house by the temple and asked them if the temple was open, one woman actually walked us to the temple and showed us the way.
If the temple is locked, you ask them for the key!

If you look closely, you can find 4 people sitting towards the top of the pagoda in the middle.

Where are the freaking stairs?!?!

Once we climbed up we encountered 4 more people on the top of the pagoda so it was very relaxing and quiet. The view (in our opinion) was amazing for sunset!

Nice view guys?!

I spy Kam :)

3rd sunset.
The last sunset in Bagan we spent it on a boat in the river. Ostello bello offered a sunset cruise for 7,000kyats so we decided to go. We got picked up on a mini truck and miraculously it fit 18 people!

We got snacks and booze!

Sunset was very relaxing, chatting with new friends and looking at the sun going down behind the pagoda on top of the hill. As we rode on the boat we could see many pointy pagodas beautifully standing near the river.

Once we got back our boat parked next to boat full of locals. It seemed

After 3 days in Bagan I can confidently say that Bagan has one of the most spectacular sunsets and sunrises. I absolutely loved it here!
