I luckily arrived in Madrid in one piece and had another girl (from the fb traveling group) and her friend help me to get to my hostel.

I chose a really nice hostel with a movie room where I could lay down and watch netflix all day without moving!

My back slowly started to heal and I decided to stop taking the pain meds and had time to walk around Madrid a little bit and meet some friends.

My friend Dora from when I was a teenager lives there so we went out and talked about the old times and all the stuff we did. It was with her that we organised and threw a huge party that ended up in gun shots, everybody ducking, and the police shutting it down. 'Til this day my mom loves to tell that story, probably to show people that I am not the saint that I now portray to be! haha

In perspective I did trick her to let me have the party at one of her houses, I never told her that (at 16!) we ordered 2 kegs and sent the invitation via ICQ to every single person we knew in San Salvador and we put fliers in every school where we had friends at. The party was a success, we danced to the dj and had a lot of fun but in reality it got out of hands, more than 500 teenagers showed up and were drinking under age and people got into fights to the point that we could have been shot and died. Needless to say, I was never ever ever EVER allowed to throw another party and was no longer allowed to go out as much as I did! haha

The rest of my time in Madrid I took it very easy and went for a couple of walks and out with a friend and on my own. I didn't see much but I was glad my back was feeling better!








To my surprise my friend Maria Alicia from El Salvador was also flying home for the holidays on the same day and in the same flight so I got company and her mom helped me surprise my mom!
