The long way to Malawi!

After the safari I decided to go south to Malawi but flying in Africa is very expensive so I decided to take the bus. I googled and read a lot about this route, met two people who have done it and got some guidance but even before starting the trip I knew it would be long.

It's time for Safari! (Tanzania)

It’s safari day!
After a lot of back and forth about wether or not I should do a safari I decided I would join Jay and his girlfriend in their safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara!

Moshi!

I had a week to kill before the safari and in all honesty I had been feeling tired for a while so I decided to move to Moshi for 5 nights and relax before the safari. In Arusha I started to feel unwell and in Moshi it all got worst! I got tonsillitis and my toe got infected! I was exhausted and my body getting infections all over maybe was a sign for me to take a break and rest a little bit. So I did.

Arusha (Tanzania)

Bye bye Zanzibar and hello Arusha!
As always I came to Tanzania with no plans but with the vague idea of going to Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda. At the hostel in Zanzibar I met so many people and got many ideas; I could have gone to Dar by ferry and then Iringa, and Mbeya, and finally Malawi but while sitting in the common area I met a guy who told me about FlightLink promotion: Zanzibar to Arusha flight for $30!!!! That’s cheaper than the ferry! So it was an easy decision to call flight link the next day and reserve a spot.

And now... Africa! Tanzania!

Oh my! I have arrived in Africa, the 5th continent I have touched since I started my trip! I remember back in 2013 I was so excited about my African adventure and this time it is exciting but also a little bit frightening.
I came to Zanzibar with no plans, I came here because it was the cheapest airfare I could find out of Georgia so now I’m here! When I get to a new country by flight I always like to have a place booked and while doing some research on Zanzibar I found out that there are hotels all over the island but since I am not a beach lover I decided to stay in Stone Town. There,  I would be able to see a little bit more of the Zanzibar culture and not just be another tourist laying down at the beach.
