Oh my! I have arrived in Africa, the 5th continent I have touched since I started my trip! I remember back in 2013 I was so excited about my African adventure and this time it is exciting but also a little bit frightening.

I came to Zanzibar with no plans, I came here because it was the cheapest airfare I could find out of Georgia so now I’m here! When I get to a new country by flight I always like to have a place booked and while doing some research on Zanzibar I found out that there are hotels all over the island but since I am not a beach lover I decided to stay in Stone Town. There, I would be able to see a little bit more of the Zanzibar culture and not just be another tourist laying down at the beach.

The following day we moved on to Kutaisi, one of Georgia’s former capital.

After Kazbegi we returned to Tbilisi for the night and then headed to Borjomi, a very famous town with spring mineral water and where Georgia’s famous Borjomi water comes from.

On my second day in Georgia I went up to the mountains in Kazbegi! Zhaniya and I left the hostel at “7:30am” (well, she said she wanted to leave at 7:30 but at 7:32am I entered her room and she was still sleeping!)

Oh my! In the first couple of minutes of being in Tbilisi I knew I was going to like it a lot more than Armenia! Tbilisi really has character; I think this city is a little hard to describe because it is a little crazy! One minute I was walking in cobble stone streets with houses that looked like they were a small earthquake away from totally falling down and the next minute I was walking on a futuristic looking bridge that looked like something out of the Jetson’s!

And now... Africa! Tanzania!
